Nothing leaves
your phone.

On the Horizon is a local‑only app. It has no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, and makes no network requests of any kind.

What we collect

Nothing. On the Horizon does not collect, transmit, store remotely, sell or share any personal data. The app's App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.

Where your tasks live

Your tasks, notes, due dates and settings are stored in a local database on your iPhone (and, if you use widgets, in a shared container on the same device so the widget can read them). They are included in your normal iPhone backups if you have backups turned on; that backup is between you and Apple and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

If you delete the app, its data is deleted with it. Reset all data in Settings deletes every task on the device; there is no backup on our side because there is no “our side”.

Network access

The app makes no network requests. It has no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifiers and no third‑party code. The only network activity associated with On the Horizon happens inside Apple's own frameworks when you buy or restore Turbo (see below).

In‑app purchase (Turbo)

Turbo is a one‑time, non‑consumable in‑app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We never see your payment details, your Apple ID or your name. The app stores a single on‑device flag recording that Turbo is unlocked so it can work offline; Restore Purchases asks Apple to confirm that flag on a new device.

Notifications

If you give a task a due time, the app schedules a local notification on your device for that time. Local notifications are created and delivered by iOS on your phone; nothing is sent to a server. You are asked for permission the first time you save a task with a due time and can change it any time in iOS Settings.

Widgets

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read from the same on‑device database as the app. They do not access the network.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

This website

onthehorizon.app sets no cookies and runs no tracking scripts. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, cookieless page‑view counts; it collects no personal data and cannot identify you. If you pick a theme here, that choice is saved in your browser so the page remembers it. It is never sent anywhere.

Changes

If the app ever starts doing something that touches data (which we don't plan) this policy will change first, and the change will be noted here with a new effective date.
